Becky Norrish

Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor – Grafton & North Shore Lab

Becky graduated from the University of Otago in 2014 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree.

After graduating Becky moved to Wellington where she gained experience working in a private practice treating a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. During this time she completed her McKenzie Therapy training to become a Credentialed McKenzie Therapist, utilizing a treatment approach which specializes in the management of neck and back pain. Becky has worked with both Rugby and Football teams, providing on and off field care. She has also completed her Level 1 Mat Pilates training and has been able to integrate this with her previous clinical pilates experience to ensure that you get a personalised pilates session to target your specific needs.

Professional views and special interests:
Becky loves working with her clients to formulate and execute a structured plan to work towards achieving their specific goals. She gets great results through using a combination of manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription. She is a strong advocate for getting her clients actively involved in their treatment, believing that someone who understands their dysfunction will be ultimately successful in self management and prevention of future recurrences. Becky is our pilates guru in the clinic, she loves the challenge of introducing new people to the activity, and is a strong believer that anyone, no matter what your background or activity level can benefit from pilates.

Outside of the Lab:
When she’s not working you’ll find her out exploring our beautiful country at any opportunity she can get. She’s passionate about leading a healthy, active lifestyle and specifically enjoys running, yoga/Pilates and a good game of tennis.
